About Swachh Bharat Mission: A Sanitation and Cleanliness Drive
Swachh Bharat Mission is a popular initiative introduced by the Government of India to make India Open Defecation Free (ODF). This mission aimed to make all villages, Gram Panchayats, Districts, States, and Union Territories of India “open-defecation free” (ODF) by 2 October 2019, marked the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, through building over 100 million toilets in rural India.
